  1. In the pressure cooker add the washed dal,chopped paalak, haldi powder,salt and 1tbsp oil.
  2. Pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles
  3. Chop the onion, tomatoes, green chillies and garlic
  4. In a pot add the remaining oil when hot add jeera fry for 2 mins,add garlic, green chillies saute for 2 to 3 mins,add the onion saute till soft, add the tomatoes cook till mashed well last add the red chilli and cook for 3 to 4 mins
  5. Add the cooked dal to this masala and cook till slightly thickens. Serve with rice, chappati or bread
