The ingredients needed to make Moong Masoor ki Daal:
  1. Get 1 cup Red Lentils (Masoor Daal)
  2. Get 1 cup Yellow Lentils (Moong Daal)
  3. Take 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp Salt
  5. Prepare 1/2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  6. Get 1 cup Olive Oil
  7. Get 1/2 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  8. Get 1 tbsp Garlic paste
  9. Make ready 4-6 chopped Green Chilies
  10. Get 5-8 Sabit laal mirchi
  11. Get Leaves Green Coriander
  12. Take 1 cup Tomato paste (three medium sizes of tomatoes)

Steps to make Moong Masoor ki Daal:
  1. Take a large bowl, add red lentils and yellow lentils
  2. Mix together both lentils, soak for three hours in the water
  3. After three hours, both lentils pour in a pan, add turmeric, red chilli powder, and water and cook for 10 minutes
  4. Add tomato paste and pinch of Salt in the boiled lentils
  5. Another a pan, Add Olive oil and cumin seed and cook for a minute
  6. Add Seven to Eight Green Chilies and Garlic Paste & cook it
  7. Add Garlic paste and Sabit Laal Mirchi.cook
  8. This Tarka is ready,now pour into the boiled lentils and cook again
  9. Moong Masoor daal ready to eat

Daal Moong Masoor (Red and Yellow Lentils) - Yellow and red lentils belong to South Asia. These pulses have been used in this region for centuries. Wash the masoor dal and moong dal till the water runs clear. If using whole moong dal, soak overnight. I prefer to use split moong dal, which cooks faster.
